Stalling

Help me please!  I can't decide on a sleeve!

This is the original Tiden Toj gown that was my inspiration.  I thought I would do a sleeve just like this one (and I still might.)

But then I saw this dress, and it's adorable sleeves with little tucks.

And lo-and-behold...this interesting little beauty came along.  I think I'm in love with the cuff.

Finally, I stumbled upon this shorter sleeve, with a sweet little (lace?) embroidered edge.
(On a side note, I really like the way the ribbon is tied around the waist on this dress, and if my faux belt buckle idea doesn't work, then this is what I will do.)

I'm stalling...and I need to get these sleeves cut out pronto-like!

So...what am I to choose....what would you choose?

You know I am really bad about comfort. So whatever one would be most comfortable I would choose that one. I couldn't see the details between the first and second photo. I like the first and last photos best. Good luck!

Vintage Girl - Sorry about not being able to see the details. If you click on the picture, you should be able to see a bigger version of the image. The first dress is just a plain, loose, 3/4 length sleeve. The second dress is elbow length, but has about 4 or 5 tiny little tucks in rows at the bottom edge of the sleeve. Thanks for your vote!

Dear Jenni,

I vote for baby tucks! Nice play against the pleats in back, you know.

Very best,

Natalie

I followed your link from Sensibility, and I would cast my vote for the sleeves with cuffs. But now I see that gives you a vote for nearly every one and doesn't help make any decisions, sorry!

Natalie and Heidi - Thanks for the votes! I think I'm just going to go with the original plan, and make the 3/4 length sleeves like the Tidens Toj Gown. If I'm making a reproduction, I might as well try to do it as close as possible, right!

I'll save the other sleeve ideas for later gowns! ;0)

Greetings,
I was going to vote for the 3/4 sleeves, but it looks like you are doing those already. :) That is one of my favorite lengths.

It would be just lovely on this dress (although, I think any sleeve you would choose would be pretty)

Can't wait to see how it looks! Happy sewing.

Nabila - Thanks for the vote. It's good to 'hear' your voice again. I hope you and your family are doing well.

Brielle - I've finished the sleeves. The length looks great. I still think it looks a bit plain. I tried my hand (on a scrap piece of fabric) at embroidery, thinking maybe I could embroider something at the edge of the sleeve. But, my trial piece turned out terrible. I am too heavy handed for embroidery I suspect.
